Job Summary:

This role is responsible for overseeing the administration of benefit programs, including leave administration, disability, health, and supplemental benefits. The successful candidate will have experience in human resources and management practices, policies, and procedures associated with benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer benefits programs, including leave administration, disability, health, and supplemental benefits
  • Provide leadership within an HR function and mentor human resources staff
  • Maintain and monitor information in a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Process actions in the North Carolina State HRIS (BEACON or FIORI)
  • Administer North Carolina state benefits programs
  • Experience with ServiceNow workflow system

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited institution
  • 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in benefits administration, including medical and supplemental insurance/benefits, FMLA, short and long-term disability, time and leave administration, and/or retirement plans
  • Leadership experience within an HR function and mentoring human resources staff
  • Maintaining and monitoring information in a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
