Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dialysis Patient Care Technician to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician, you will play a critical role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines
  • Conduct vascular access cannulation and administer heparin as delegated
  • Obtain necessary pre and post-treatment vital signs and weight
  • Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders
  • Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy
  • Document accurate and timely information regarding vital signs and treatment parameters
Requirements
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid PCT national certification or state-specific certification
  • At least five years patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility
  • Successful completion of Fresenius Medical Care North America's dialysis training program and CPR certification
