Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient software solutions using the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node.js).

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop complex software systems using full stack development principles

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements

Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, modular, and reusable code

Troubleshoot and debug issues in the application, including performance optimization and error handling

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our application

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack development, experience with 3rd party system integration, expertise in ElasticSearch, and a solid understanding of data modeling concepts. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Angular, as well as experience with Express and MongoDB. In-depth knowledge of ElasticSearch, including indexing, querying, and aggregation, is also required. The candidate should have proven experience with 3rd party system integration using APIs, webhooks, and other integration methods. Strong understanding of software design patterns, principles, and best practices is also necessary. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, are essential. Basic understanding of data modeling concepts, including entity-relationship, data normalization, and de-normalization, is also required. Experience with Git workflows, including feature branching, pull requests, and code reviews, is also necessary. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, knowledge of containerization using Docker, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI, and hands-on experience working with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or AWS SQS are also required. The ability to work effectively in a Linux-based development environment is also necessary. The position is on customer site.
