Medical Scribe Opportunity at Medix

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe to join our team at a community health clinic in Los Angeles. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring seamless communication between healthcare providers and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately document patient care and transcribe medical information in the electronic health records system.
  • Support physicians with patient visits, capturing and transcribing medical information, and completing patient encounter records within expected timeframes.
  • Monitor lab results and screening procedures, and communicate effectively with patients and physicians.
  • Perform other duties and tasks assigned to improve productivity and maintain clinic workflow.
Requirements:
  • Previous scribing experience in an outpatient clinic.
  • Ability to accurately document patient care and transcribe patient appointments.
  • Detailed knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to distinguish different exams and medical diagnoses.
  • Prior experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good bedside manner and interpersonal skills to communicate with patients effectively.
Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 pm, based on physician's schedule.
  • 25-30 hours per week.

Competitive hourly rate: $18-21/hr BOE.
