Job Description

Job Summary: As a Youth Therapist - Activity Specialist, you will play a vital role in planning and organizing activities that align with treatment plans tailored to meet the needs of girls ages 12-17 in our program. You will mentor clients, teach staff how to engage in therapeutic and fun activities, and create a warm, loving home for teens who are preparing for independent or community living.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and one year of relevant experience, or a High school diploma with two years of related experience. Prior experience working with adolescents and providing activity treatment services is required. Experience working with individuals with emotional/behavioral disorders is preferred.

You should possess demonstrated skills in various leisure time activities (i.e. arts and crafts, music, sports, camping, etc.) and a valid driver's license for transportation purposes. A subscription to Wedgwood Christian Services' statement of faith and agreement with the goals, purpose, and objectives of the agency is also required.

Work Schedule

The work schedule is Monday - Thursday 1-9pm; every other weekend rotating between 1st and 2nd shift.
