Job Summary

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist at CHI Health St. Elizabeth, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical team.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide clear explanations of procedures, ensuring informed consent and patient education.
* Select and prepare equipment, setting technical factors and gathering supplies as needed, while adhering to radiation safety standards and protocols.
* Obtain and record patient histories, and evaluate equipment performance, reporting any issues to supervisors or directors.
* Participate in quality improvement projects, adhering to ACR accreditation, Radiation Safety, ALARA, MQSA, and State Regulations, and contribute to departmental processes around quality and environment of care.

Qualifications

* Education: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program
* Licenses & Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association, ARRT Board Certified in Radiology, and valid Medical Radiography or General Radiology Technologist Permit to Practice license in Nebraska or Iowa.
* Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Understands methods and is capable of performing venipuncture, demonstrates ability to set and maintain multiple priorities, and possesses strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

* Six to nine months experience in radiology preferred, ACLS required if Cardiac Catheter lab included in duties, Certification in IR or RCIS, and ARRT Board Certified in CT or Mammography within one year of hire.
