Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, component inspections, and repairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance
  • Perform standard component inspections and repairs
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems
  • Identify root cause of failures and perform repairs
  • Replace defective components
  • Perform facility maintenance duties
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
  • Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation
  • Work in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred
