Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Ultrasonographer to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the exceptional patient experience we strive to deliver.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine ultrasound examinations as requested by physicians to facilitate diagnosis, adhering to department procedure manuals and initial patient assessments.
  • Prepare patients and families for exams, educating them on the process and providing comfort and reassurance.
  • Process sonographic images, evaluating them for technical quality and preparing films for interpretation by radiologists.
  • Maintain department logs of exams performed for teaching file purposes and provide professional, clinical instruction to students.
  • Stay current with developments, trends, and techniques in ultrasound procedures and equipment, attending department meetings and conferences as necessary.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited AMA-approved school of Sonography required, with candidates within 6 months of graduating considered.
  • A.R.D.M.S. or board eligibility, with registry passage within 1 year required.
  • Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association required.
