Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Interventional Radiology. As an Angiography Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting special procedures while working directly with the radiologist to obtain specific results for diagnostic purposes and interventional treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs special procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination within the guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards of Medical Imaging to assigned patients of all ages.
  • Exhibits competency in performing and filming angiographic and CT radiographic procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of catheters, guidewires, and sterile trays and prepares these items as necessary.
  • Obtains and documents accurate pre and post procedure information as applicable.
  • Follows JCAHO patient safety goals.
  • Maintains quality care throughout the procedure.
  • Practices radiation protection through shielding whenever possible.
  • Demonstrates a practical problem-solving approach to patient moving and handling issues.
  • Demonstrates skills to promote patient and staff safety through appropriate use of lift equipment.
  • Performs patient bedside lab testing and associated quality control in compliance with medical provider's orders and hospital lab procedures and policies.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required and Radiography (R)(ARRT) - w/ 1 year IEMA Radiography License Illinois.
  • 1-3 years of experience in/with problem-solving skills, the ability to set priorities, organize work, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
