We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at The Stella Hotel, a Noble House Resort. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's customer and heart of house areas in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the hotel's customer and heart of house areas in accordance with company standards.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary.
  • Handle routine maintenance in public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, back of the house spaces, and grounds.
  • Repair televisions, phones, clock radios, etc.
  • Replace or repair damaged bathroom fixtures and execute general plumbing as needed.
  • Maintain the overall appearance of the room; replace broken mirrors, hang fixtures, do touch up painting, etc.
  • Troubleshoot rooms heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems.
  • Use both power and hand tools regularly in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance throughout other areas of the hotel as well as, including both the front of the house, interior and exterior.
  • Maintain the condition of the hotel lobbies and restaurants.
  • Repair furniture and decorations as necessary.
  • Repair carpet, marble and tile.
  • Repair and maintain kitchen and laundry/housekeeping equipment.
  • Repair/replaces windows and mirrors.
  • Maintain exterior of building and grounds as necessary.
  • May be asked to perform routine pool operations.
  • Maintain operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs.
  • Maintain and assists in the cleanliness of individual work area.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the hotel's safety systems and take corrective action on any maintenance or operating problems which affect the security or operating condition of the hotel.
  • Report any hazards or injuries in the department and take immediate action to correct.
  • Contribute to hotels preparedness during fire emergencies by participating in the HAT.
  • Handle master keys in accordance with standards for the overall safety and security of the hotel.

Requirements:

  • Will handle routine maintenance in public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, back of the house spaces, and grounds.
  • Maintains rooms in optimal operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
  • Understands the room preventative maintenance program.
  • Prepares preventative maintenance cart for use each day.
  • Repairs televisions, phones, clock radios, etc.
