We are seeking an experienced Deck Supervisor to join our team at Goldfish Swim School. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading a team of instructors and deck teachers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality swim lessons, and providing exceptional customer service to our students and parents.

About the Role
  • Salary: $13.50 per hour
  • Reports to: General Manager/Assistant General Manager/Pool Operations Manager
  • FSLA Status: Non-Exempt

Responsibilities
  1. Lead and motivate a team of instructors and deck teachers to deliver high-quality swim lessons
  2. Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and prepare the deck for each shift
  3. Evaluate instructors and deck teachers periodically to ensure they are meeting the standards required
  4. Interact with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and provide feedback
  5. Act as a GSS ambassador to ensure customer satisfaction
  6. Complete daily logs and monitor student attendance
  7. Maintain the cleanliness of the pool facility and arrange for replacements when needed
  8. Manage chemical levels in the pool environment
  9. Act as substitute swim instructor when necessary
  10. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Two or more years of experience as a swim instructor required
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications required
