Overview

GovCIO is a leading provider of innovative IT services and solutions to government agencies, aiming to transform the way they operate and serve citizens. We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Professional to join our team and support Information Assurance contract needs.

About the Role

This hybrid position will be primarily based remotely with periodic onsite presence in the Washington DC Metro Area. As an integral member of our IA program team, you will provide security management oversight to all IA activities, ensuring compliance with Government and industry IA standards, policies, guidelines, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Correlate threat data from various sources to establish the identity and modus operandi of hackers posing a potential threat to client networks.
  • Develop cyber threat profiles based on geographic region, country, group, or individual actors, providing assessments and reports to facilitate situational awareness and understanding of current cyber threats and adversaries.
  • Manage Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) packages, create SA&A documents, and maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities.
  • Provide assessment support working toward an approved Authority to Operate (ATO), complying with USAID, Government, and industry IA standards.
  • Apply information technology security principles, configure security settings, complete weekly system audits, apply security patches, and conduct reviews.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or equivalent commensurate experience.
  • Minimum certification requirements: CISSP, CISA, CEH, CISM, or similar security certifications.
  • Must have at least five (5+) years of experience with all phases of Information Assurance and accreditation processes, securing IT systems and services using Government and industry IA standards.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing information security risks, completing the entire A&A process, and receiving Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Experience supporting vulnerability scanning tools, performing Security Operations in environments with 10,000+ endpoints, and maintaining proficiency in network security.
  • US Citizenship is required to acquire a government clearance, and a Secret clearance along with USAID suitability is necessary.
