Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team at Ross Stores. As a Retail Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience. Your primary responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the sales floor with a sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities- Provide friendly and professional service to all customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone, including identifying and reporting any unsafe conditions or practices.
- Assist customers with merchandise, answer questions, and provide product information in a knowledgeable and polite manner.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and replenishing restroom supplies to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Merchandise all items per company best practice to the monthly presentation guidelines and maintain merchandise/brand name familiarity within departments to assist customers.
- Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, customer service, and store safety.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, associates, and store leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative, and pleasant manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
- Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required.
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
