Job Summary

The Butterfly Academy seeks a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young students. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing educational programs that cater to the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical needs of our children. You will work closely with our team to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement educational curricula that align with early learning standards and developmentally appropriate practices.
Lead by example, encouraging teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
Plan and execute age-appropriate activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in our students.
Maintain open communication with parents through regular progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.
Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities and safety standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED, with significant college credit in early childhood education or a related field.
Minimum of 6 months of professional childcare experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as basic computer skills.
Ability to work well with others, including staff, children, and parents, and to foster a team environment.
Strong understanding of child development and the ability to create a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
Must clear full background check and pass health screening.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent walking, using hands and fingers, and handling objects.

Nice to Have

Associate's degree in early childhood education.
Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience.
Reliable transportation.
Willingness to work flexible hours and make a positive impact on children's development.

Benefits

Starting pay: $15.00 per hour.
Guaranteed part-time position available, with the possibility of full-time after 90 days.
Bi-weekly pay schedule.
