Role: Internal Medicine Physician - Clinical Leader

Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per year
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at Alluvion Health as a Clinical Leader. As a key member of our medical staff, you will provide high-quality primary and preventive health care services to patients, while also contributing to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols.
ResponsibilitiesClinical Practice:
- Provide primary health care to patients according to established principles of clinical practice and the patient's current Health Care Plan.
- Perform out-patient procedures within the scope of primary care.
- Assist the Medical Director and other physicians in revision and implementation of practice principles, clinical protocols, and health care plans as needed.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Supervise, consult with, and precept residents, medical students, and staff nurse practitioners and physician assistants as directed.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients and other staff.
- Work collaboratively with Alluvion Health's Leadership Team to ensure compliance with HRSA 330 requirements and reporting.
Quality Improvement:
- Oversight (delegated) for quality improvement activities, most specifically peer review of medical and behavioral health providers, nurses, medical assistants.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to improve patient care and utilization of health center resources.
Education and Training:
- Graduate from an accredited medical school, licensed to practice as a physician in Montana with full prescriptive authority, current DEA, and board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Two years' experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to diagnose and treat conditions within the scope of the practice of internal medicine.
- Thorough knowledge of health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
- Understanding of the principles of patient education and change theory.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers to provide care to patients and operate computer.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
