Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care activities with attending physicians and ensuring timely progress towards optimal clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in communications with patients and families to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Triage patients and patient issues, providing symptom management and education on disease processes and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to evaluate healthcare services and implement innovative changes to practice and the healthcare system.
  • Monitor and confirm service delivery, ensuring high-quality care for patients and families.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant clinical experience required; 1-2 years of ambulatory care and oncology experience preferred.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the District of Columbia required.
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OCN - Oncology Nurse Certification within 1 Year preferred.
