Cardiovascular Operating Room Specialist Position in Charleston, South Carolina

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Specialist to join our team at MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in the operating room.
About the Role- This is a 13-week travel assignment with a start date of December 9th and a duration of 40 hours per week.
As a Cardiovascular Operating Room Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing treatments according to established protocols
- Proficiently scrubbing, circulating, and functioning as a third person/heart holder in the CVOR
- Picking supplies for surgeries, setting up instruments, and accurately performing instrument and sponge counts
- Obtaining specimens, handing them over to the circulating nurse, and verifying their location
- Facilitating room turnover times
- Participating in department on-call schedules
- A graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent experience working as a surgical technician in an acute care setting
- Current CPR provider card
- A minimum of eighteen months of CVOR recent experience or completed clinical orientation specific to the surgical care of the open-heart patient population
- Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation as it relates to specific cardiac surgical procedures and other procedures as needed

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $75,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
