Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative II to join our team at Sutter Health. As the first point of contact for patients entering our medical facility, you will play a critical role in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check-in patients, verifying information and scheduling appointments as needed
  • Update Electronic Health Records (EHR) and facilitate intake procedures, including completion of healthcare and insurance forms
  • Collect payments for services and ensure accurate billing
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to build confidence and cooperation
  • Adhere to all organizational, local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety
Requirements
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
  • 1 year of recent relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures, as well as patient billing
  • Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual candidate in English and Spanish preferred

Pay Range: $28.06 to $35.06 per hour
