Ophthalmology Physician Opportunity in Downtown Brooklyn

Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights, a multi-specialty practice in a state-of-the-art facility, is seeking a full-time Ophthalmologist to join its practice in Downtown Brooklyn.
The ideal candidate will play an instrumental role in ensuring excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and satisfaction. They will have a passion for outpatient medicine and be fully committed to the mission of Mount Sinai Health System.
The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to partner with world-renowned Icahn School of Medicine and be part of a comprehensive support team, including MAs and LPNs.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye diseases and conditions
- Perform necessary surgical procedures, including examinations before and after surgery, and instruct patients on self-care to improve recovery
- Provide health education and counseling and establish preventive health practices
- Initiate laboratory, radiology, and pathology exams and specialty consults as necessary
- Exercise judgment in establishing priorities of medical care and consult with and refer to appropriate specialists in regards to high-risk or complex patients
- Responsible for supervision of optometrists from time to time
- Foster a professional, collaborative work environment with all team members and colleagues
- Provide case management with other healthcare team members
