Renewable Energy Accounting Leader

CloudHQ LLC is a leading energy infrastructure company, developing innovative projects in wind farms and data centers. We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team as Accounting Manager for our renewable energy division.
About the RoleThe Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial preparation, reporting, and accounting functions for our joint ventures (JVs) in the renewable energy sector. This includes maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and working closely with our Controller to implement departmental closing process controls. The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of US GAAP, experience with Yardi systems, and strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities- Manage the accounting books for our JVs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Assist the Controller in preparing position papers on complex transactions and maintaining compliance with JV partner authorities
- Lead a team of accountants, providing training and guidance on GAAP application and problem areas
- Develop and maintain financial models using Microsoft Excel, including forecasting and budgeting
- Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, and other accounting documents
- Work closely with external auditors during annual audits, providing documentation and support
- Report financial results to JV partners, management, and other stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including audit or corporate accounting
- Team management experience and strong leadership skills
- Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and financial modeling
- Yardi systems experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
CloudHQ LLC offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and a 401(k) plan with match.
