As a Restaurant General Manager, you will develop business disciplines in Accounting, Human Resources, Training, Marketing, Sales Building, and Cost Controls. You will be responsible for managing a million-plus dollar-a-year restaurant, ensuring efficient operations and delivering exceptional results.

Restaurant General Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Ability to work a 50+ hour work week
  • Frequent contact with the general public, business, and community organizations
  • Communication with outside purveyors concerning supplies and equipment
  • Occasional communication with Home Office personnel concerning public policy and procedures
  • Maintain staffing levels through effective planning
  • Supervise subordinate staff to ensure customer satisfaction and quality service
  • Utilize company training tools to provide on-the-job training
  • Implement and execute financial controls to ensure accountability of company funds
  • Receive and resolve customer complaints in a tactful manner
  • Appraise performance of subordinates
  • Prepare projections of future sales and expenses
  • Exercise sound managerial judgment and decision-making
  • Train and develop the capabilities of Assistant Managers and Manager Trainees
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
