We currently have an opportunity for an EHS Specialist in our Santa Clara, CA location. This role works under the direct supervision of the EHS Management, while independently working and solving day-to-day problems.

Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this position is $55,200 - $110,400 per year, depending on specific locations.

Job Description

As an EHS Specialist at Abbott, you will lead environmental compliance activities, develop and implement programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, support EHS management in conducting reviews for facility modification and new product development, and maintain the facility's Emergency Response and Fire Plans. You will also support site Safety Coordinators and Emergency Coordinator process, inspect and procure emergency response and disaster preparedness materials and equipment, and coordinate applicable training as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in environmental studies, health sciences, or an equivalent academic field, experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model, and solid leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results. You will also need the ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment, communicate effectively at multiple levels in the organization, multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
