About the RoleAs an RN Shift Supervisor with FutureCare, you will be responsible for administering nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients, diagnosing and establishing patient treatment plans, monitoring and reporting changes in patient symptoms or behavior, and communicating with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care.
You will also educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention, facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities, maintain accurate patient medical records, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.
Responsibilities- Administer nursing care to patients, ensuring high-quality care and meeting individual needs.
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans, working closely with healthcare teams to ensure effective care.
- Monitor patient progress, identifying changes in symptoms or behavior and reporting to relevant parties.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients on healthy habits and disease prevention, promoting self-care and independence.
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare services, ensuring seamless transitions and coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, addressing concerns and answering questions.
- A valid Registered Nurse license issued in Maryland is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is preferred.
- 1-3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills are highly valued.
- Prior experience caring for residents in acute or skilled nursing facilities is beneficial.
- A current CPR license is mandatory.
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, including a range of benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
