About the Role

JobTrain is seeking an experienced Instructional Coordinator to play a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience for students pursuing Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways. As a key member of the Instructional team, you will support instructors in maintaining and developing innovative curricula for CTE programs, collaborate with community partners, and contribute to creating high-quality, engaging, and relevant curriculum materials.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborative Curriculum Development: Support instructors in developing and updating curricula, conduct regular assessments of current curricula, and facilitate the distribution and analysis of end-of-class surveys.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Conduct regular assessments of current curricula and instructional methods, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, and facilitate the distribution and analysis of end-of-class surveys.
  • Accreditation and Compliance: Collaborate with the Manager of Instruction to maintain WASC accreditation, adhere to school policies, and support initiatives for accreditation processes.
  • Learning Management System: Co-manage the administrative side of the Learning Management System, Canvas, including instructor support, course duplication, staff and student additions, training, and technical support.
  • Professional Development: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in CTE and postsecondary education, integrate relevant insights into curriculum development, and attend seminars and professional development opportunities.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document processes and outcomes using various tools, maintain clear records of curriculum development activities, and collaborate with the Manager of Instruction and Director of Career Training and Education to analyze and improve processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the JobTrain team, aligning efforts with the organization's Mission, Values, and School-Wide Learning Objectives.
Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of experience in education, curriculum development, and/or educational technology.
  • Previous classroom teaching experience (secondary or postsecondary) preferred.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas) and eLearning platforms.
  • Familiarity with WASC accreditation or other accreditation processes required.
  • Project planning or project management experience a plus.
