About the Role

At Prairie State Generating Company, we're seeking a highly skilled Reliability Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment.

Job Summary

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional with expertise in vibration analysis, predictive maintenance, and equipment balancing. If you have experience working with CMMS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and vibration software, we'd love to hear from you

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze vibration data on various plant equipment, including pumps, fans, compressors, gearboxes, and more.
  • Interpret data and provide insightful analysis to plant engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Remediate equipment imbalance through thorough troubleshooting and analytical techniques.
  • Perform balancing on plant equipment using Emerson 2140 and Bently Nevada 3500 systems.
  • Identify equipment reliability issues using predictive technologies and coordinate related maintenance activities.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis to assess equipment condition and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment health and implement modifications as needed to ensure optimal facility performance.
  • Lead or participate in Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA) and Failure Modes Effects Analyses (FMEA) processes.
  • Develop and review Planned Maintenance (PM) activities aligned with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) philosophy.
  • Mentor junior reliability engineers and analysts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Cat I level vibration certification required; Cat II or III preferred.
  • Experience with CMMS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and vibration software (e.g., System One Vibration Software, Insight CM vibration software).
  • Ability to interpret data, apply learnings, and correct equipment issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
