About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Ineos Pigments USA. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe, reliable, and profitable operation of our manufacturing equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the Operations team, ensuring that they understand company goals and have the knowledge and resources needed to accomplish them.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee the planning, coordination, and monitoring of Operations activities to ensure production and quality targets are met safely and efficiently.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Team Development: Develop and retain technical knowledge among Operations personnel, ensuring they have the skills and expertise needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, as well as maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Performance Management: Manage personnel, including performance, compensation, succession planning, and discipline.
  • Training and Development: Work closely with the Training Department to ensure there is a training plan in place, it is being followed, and SOPs and procedures are up to date.
  • Capital Projects: Oversee Process Engineering personnel in the process design for capital projects that meet scope intent for operational requirements on safety, rate, quality, and reliability.
Requirements
  • Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a Bachelor's of Science degree preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience as a supervisor/manager, and highly developed knowledge of operations.
  • Skills: Leadership/management skills, working knowledge of chemical/industrial equipment function, design, and regulatory requirements, and Process Safety Management.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of Chemistry and Physics, ISO System and procedures knowledge, and functionality with various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously, and self-motivation and independent thinking.
