Job Summary

The Superintendent will oversee the execution of heavy lifting and transportation work in the field and at the yard, ensuring that it is conducted safely, profitably, and with delighted customers. This role is responsible for the safety and training of the crew members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exemplify the company's Core Values in daily work and lead by example.
  • Support the sales effort by conducting job walks, assisting in estimating schedules, equipment duration, solution selling, and other business development efforts as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering support to plan and optimize upcoming work.
  • Participate in handoff meetings to receive direction, engineer drawings, and schedules, and communicate expectations for field performance.
  • Work with internal resources to identify equipment needs, perform inspections, develop load-out lists, and coordinate trucking as necessary.
  • Execute scheduled work while utilizing company safety programs to evaluate job hazards and manage risks throughout job tasks.
  • Delegate tasks to field crews with clear man-hour expectations and safe performance criteria.
  • Ensure that all crew members are qualified for the work assigned.
  • Focus on improving schedule, safe performance, and equipment maintenance.
  • Cultivate an environment of idea generation and communicate significant ideas to management.
  • Develop a fair and respectful attitude towards crew members in assigning work and coaching.
  • Train crew members to add qualifications to their resumes.
  • Treat customers with dignity and respect.
  • Lead the team by demonstrating high morale towards the company and work.
  • Participate in the evaluation of crew members at scheduled intervals and management.
  • Complete ProLift Specific, Regulatory, and Identified Equipment training through the internal LMS system.
  • Complete 3rd party and customer required training to gain on-site access.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Required Qualifications:
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Strong Reasoning Ability
  • 2+ years of experience in Crane and Rigging
  • 5+ years of experience as a Foreman
Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
