Job Summary

This is a full-time position responsible for optimizing and maintaining production processes and product scrap reduction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform first piece start-up process verification activities.
  • Verify end-of-arm tooling for robots and initiate robot programs or proper cam settings.
  • Set up assembly and decorating equipment per Master Process Control Sheet.
  • Ensure correct Master Process Monitoring Sheets are in place during mold changes, material changes, or insert changes.
  • Remove old process control sheets and file them when necessary.
  • Place full or outdated Master Process Monitoring Sheets in designated areas.
  • Perform process verification checks and log results as defined by product MPMS.
  • Respond to operator inquiries regarding product or process questions and concerns.
  • Complete assigned areas of First Piece Approval documents.
  • Identify needed machine and tool repairs and initiate work orders.
  • Participate in internal problem-solving and improvement activities.
  • Participate in all safety activities and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, product drawings, and system documentation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to calculate percentages and proportions.
  • Ability to actively participate in problem-solving activities.
  • Ability to apply logic to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Completion of supporting training requirements matrix.
  • Completion of Mold Technician training requirements matrix.
