Job Description
As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for providing and directing speech-language pathology services to residents, including assessment, treatment, program planning, and implementation. You will function under physicians' orders and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide speech-language pathology services to residents, initiating referrals as necessary and in accordance with department procedures.
  • Conduct regular screenings of residents to determine the need for intervention or treatment.
  • Evaluate residents to obtain necessary data for treatment planning and implementation.
  • Monitor resident response to intervention and modify treatment plans as needed to attain goals in accordance with physician orders.
  • Develop home or community programming to maintain and enhance resident performance in their own environment.
  • Provide clinical information in a timely manner concerning safety and functional needs for discharge.
  • Adhere to established confidentiality standards.
  • Implement and conduct treatment as outlined in treatment plans.
  • Follow management direction.
  • Assist with and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement programs as directed.

Requirements
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Speech Therapist with a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for S.L.P. and current state licensure or eligibility are also required.
