Job Summary

">

We are seeking a Support Specialist to join our team at QSAC, Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults with autism and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role involves providing direct support to individuals with autism, following established treatment plans, and promoting independence through daily living and social skills development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Provide direct support to adults with autism, including assistance with daily living tasks, transportation, and recreational activities.">
  • Follow established treatment plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure individualized care.">
  • Promote independence and self-directed living by developing and implementing daily living and social skills training.">
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including progress notes and incident reports.">
  • Transport individuals in agency vehicles as needed.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, special education) or equivalent experience working with adults with autism.">
  • At least 2 years of experience working with adults with autism, preferably in a residential or community-based setting.">
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record (required for some positions).">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.">
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.">
  • Familiarity with person-centered principles and practices, as well as crisis intervention techniques.">
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Professional certifications in areas such as ABA or QPR are also an asset.">
