Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging procedures to our patients and physicians in a respectful and efficient manner. You will work in a safe and clean environment, utilizing your knowledge of x-ray equipment and computers to produce accurate and high-quality images.

Responsibilities

  1. Check patient identification and physician orders to ensure accuracy of requests before proceeding with studies.
  2. Question female patients of childbearing age regarding the possibility of pregnancy and document information in patient records.
  3. Question all patients who receive intravenous contrast media and document information regarding allergies and medical history.
  4. Provide proper radiation safety protection for all individuals, including yourself, and follow ALARA principles.
  5. Maintain patient dignity by ensuring proper coverage during exams and transport.
  6. Seek opportunities to assist in other areas during downtime periods and make good use of time.
  7. Check on patients waiting in hallways to ensure they are covered and comfortable.
  8. Show leadership and teamwork in difficult situations and make appropriate decisions.
  9. Volunteer for overtime and fill-in shifts as needed.
  10. Ensure patient safety by following all safety procedures while moving patients and observing patients on the radiology table.
  11. Perform high-quality studies consistently.
  12. Work collaboratively with fellow employees to provide efficient use of equipment and complete requests from physicians and patients.

Requirements

We require a graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology with subsequent accreditation through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. You must be in compliance with CE requirements and obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Preference is given to candidates with one year of work experience in a hospital setting, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
