Job Highlights

CCL Label Food and Beverage is a global leader in specialty packaging, providing innovative premium packaging solutions to various markets worldwide. As a Production Operator - Label Finishing, you will play a crucial role in our finishing department, utilizing high-speed complex machinery to complete slitting operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate multiple pieces of complex automated inspection and slitting equipment
  • Ensure proper validation sign-off of set up prior to running a job
  • Load labels, press rolls, or other printed material into equipment
  • Review recognized defects, remove and/or replace defects as required according to customer specification
  • Prepare packaging materials, including cutting cores, making boxes, and printing core labels
  • Unload finished product and package product for shipping according to customer specification
  • Prepare finished product for final inspection
  • Adjust, utilize, and replace cutting blades on a frequent basis with proper PPE
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on equipment
  • Report machine and equipment issues immediately to supervisor and/or maintenance
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 6 months or more experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to proof-read, spot errors, and inconsistencies
  • Good mechanical aptitude and skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals quickly and correctly
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as work instructions, safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures, and maintenance instructions/manuals
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and work with other team members and management
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms above and below shoulder level
  • Regularly stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Regularly communicate in some manner either by speech/hearing or through written communication
  • Regularly use of vision abilities including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Regularly work around moving machinery and heavy equipment
  • Frequently required to push/pull
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Frequently exposed to high-speed moving mechanical parts
  • Frequently exposed to UV, strobing, or flashing light
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes, dust, or airborne particles
  • Regularly exposed to moderate noise level in the work environment
