The OpportunityWe're seeking a highly skilled Lead Corporate Counsel to join our team as an in-house lawyer and leader. Reporting directly to the President of MRAS, you'll serve as the company's lead attorney and a key advisor on strategic and operational matters.
Responsibilities- Serve as the lead attorney and corporate generalist for a fast-growing aerospace company, requiring strategy, leadership, diplomacy, and ability to roll-up sleeves to meet legal needs.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial and vendor agreements, including master service agreements, supply agreements, teaming agreements, software licensing and SaaS agreements, and more.
- Advise and partner on regulatory compliance matters, including internal and external audits.
- Develop and improve standard work and processes to operate efficiently, including playbooks and templates.
- Evaluate and resolve contractual and operational disputes.
- Advise senior leadership on practical ways to mitigate legal and operational risks.
- Build and maintain relationships with functional leadership at ST Engineering in Singapore and ST Engineering North America in Alexandria, VA, for collaboration on key initiatives.
The ideal candidate must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school, with 7-10 years of experience at a major law firm and/or in-house legal department. In-house experience is preferred, and admission to practice in at least one US jurisdiction and eligibility for Maryland Corporate Counsel are required.
