Job Summary

As a valued member of the Radiology Team at Connecticut Children's, the Radiologic Med Imaging Aide plays a crucial role in assisting the MRI radiologic technologist during MRI exams. This position requires a talented multitasker with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to efficiently operate CR, RIS, PACS, and CD burner systems.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the MRI technologists in confirming appointments and performing the first level of safety screening.
  • Help schedule patients and maximize table time by allowing for efficient and safe room turn-around.
  • Transport patients when needed and visit patient floors for tasks such as delivering MRI-safe IV pumps.
  • Update families on the status of their child during exams, especially with scans involving anesthesia.
  • Sanitize equipment and maintain in-room supplies.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or higher level of education required.
  • Minimum six months previous pediatric experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification upon hire.
