Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Private Equity Co-Sourcing team at CBIZ. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing co-sourcing/outsourcing services for Credit-Focused Alternative Asset Managers. Your expertise will be utilized to assist with all aspects of an In-House tax function, including transactional matters, managing multiple internal and external professional resources, and federal, state, and foreign compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, demonstrating proficient knowledge of technical skills, industry trends, and alternatives.
  • Identify client issues and conflicts, proactively communicating solution options to clients and team members.
  • Review and respond to federal and state tax returns and K-1s, as well as related filings.
  • Assist in gathering data and reviewing schedules to be used in preparing tax returns.
  • Coordinate tax compliance processes with clients' functional teams and external service providers.
  • Prepare year-end estimates and manage staff on engagement deliverables.
  • Understand clients' organizations, procedures, and internal policies.
  • Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements, and special projects.
  • Responsible for billing and realization on assigned clients.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6 years of experience in public accounting or a related field.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • CPA candidates preferred.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments, and prioritize each assignment as necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology.
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.
