Veterans Health Administration Nurse Leader

Summary: The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is seeking a dedicated and experienced nurse leader to join our team as a Nurse Officer of the Day/House Supervisor.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership and be able to provide professional guidance and support to our nursing teams. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality care for our nation's heroes.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $114,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional leadership during assigned tours of duty as the representative for the Associate Director for Patient Care Services.
- Supervise and manage nursing staff resources, including arranging and directing staff to ensure effective patient care delivery.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as medical and administrative, to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Participate in planning and implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations related to patient care and nursing practice.
Requirements:
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- A minimum of 2 years of specialized nursing experience, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Knowledge of VA policies, procedures, and regulations related to patient care and nursing practice.
