Naropa University seeks a dynamic and contemplative-minded faculty member to join our Graduate School of Counseling as an Assistant or Associate Professor. We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching, research, and service in the field of Buddhism-Informed Contemplative Counseling.

**Job Summary:**

We invite applications for a full-time faculty position in the Buddhism-Informed Contemplative Counseling (BICC) concentration. As a core faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching courses, advising students, and contributing to the development of the BICC program. You will also engage in research, scholarship, and creative works that promote the values of Naropa University.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Teach 20 credits per academic year in the BICC concentration and other degree programs
  • Develop and conduct plans for assessment, community building, and ongoing curriculum development
  • Participate in all administrative operations of the BICC program, including admissions interviews and events
  • Engage in socially transformative and contemplative development both personally and in one's teaching
  • Serve on and actively participate in appointed university committees

**Requirements:**

  • Doctoral degree or ABD from a CACREP-accredited program in counseling or counselor education
  • At least one year of experience teaching or co-teaching coursework related to professional counseling
  • Demonstrated commitment to co-creating a diverse and inclusive community
  • Familiarity with Buddhist psychology and its application to counseling
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Colorado at the professional counselor level

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Three or more years of teaching experience at the graduate level
  • Record of institutional service and work in leadership roles at a university
  • Evidence of significant work in the field, such as professional presentations, publications, clinical practice, and/or research
