Job OverviewAt Matts Transit LLC, we're seeking an experienced Automotive Hauling Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers the potential for nearly 40 hours of work per week, with flexible scheduling that includes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday shifts, as well as evening assignments during the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver auction cars to/from dealers and recovery yards in the tri-state area.
- Operate a 9-speed manual transmission vehicle with a clean driving record and at least 2 years of CDL experience required.
- Perform winch loading/unloading tasks while ensuring excellent attention to detail.
- Conduct inspections using an inspection app and maintain a friendly and patient demeanor when interacting with customers.
- Notify supervisors of maintenance issues discovered during pre/post trip inspections.
Requirements:
- CDL class A or B license is mandatory.
- Able to drive a rooftop platform and perform moderate height-related work.
- Prior towing and/or flatbed experience is preferred but not necessary, as training will be provided.
- Able to use a smartphone via text, email, and related inspection apps; a company-provided cell phone may be offered.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer competitive compensation and benefits, including $45,000 - $60,000 annual salary, depending on experience. Health insurance is available after a brief introductory period, which varies based on prior employment history.
