About the Role

We are seeking a Special Projects Manager to join our Climate Capital team in Durham. This role will provide critical project leadership for strategic initiatives related to the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage projects designed with senior leaders and critical to advancing organizational priorities.
  • Build and maintain familiarity with GGRF rules and regulations, including EPA terms & conditions.
  • Collaborate with Climate Capital management to update budgets, review budget to actual reports, and conduct financial analyses.
  • Provide research and analytical support on major financial and operational decisions.
  • Work with senior executives to organize and mobilize organizational resources around new initiatives or key operational priorities.
  • Support relationships with key partners, funders, and collaborators.
  • Facilitate and organize meetings of senior managers within the assigned portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years related professional experience in finance, banking, community development, affordable housing, management consulting, business management, or related social justice work.
  • Executive level project management skills.
  • Strong financial analysis and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to our mission.
  • Preference for working in an organization that emphasizes teamwork and collaboration.
