Job Overview

This role requires a minimum of 1+ years of special education experience, with a strong background in designing and implementing tailored IEPs. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with general education teachers, parents, and school administrators to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a valid Michigan teaching license and Special Education endorsement. Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
  • IEP Development: Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with disabilities.
  • Specialized Instruction: Provide direct, specialized instruction and support to students with various learning challenges and disabilities.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with general education teachers, parents, and school administrators to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to instructional strategies to facilitate academic and personal growth.
Qualifications
  • Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Licensure: Valid Michigan teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience: Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred but not required.
