Leading Enterprise Identity Architect

Mckesson, a pioneer in the healthcare industry, is seeking a seasoned Senior Entra Identity Engineer to spearhead the design and implementation of hybrid on-prem and cloud Active Directory environments. This visionary role will drive innovation and excellence in identity management, ensuring seamless authentication and authorization across the organization.
Job OverviewThis pivotal position will be responsible for:
- Analyzing and designing cutting-edge solutions for hybrid Active Directory environments and Azure Active Directory/Entra ID.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate systems and applications, streamlining centralized authentication processes.
- Providing expert knowledge on Active Directory, Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, and Okta Active Directory synchronization, driving best practices and security standards.
- Supporting and maintaining Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) environments and Entra ID Enterprise Applications, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Leveraging technical expertise to lead deployment and operational maintenance for new technologies and solutions, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Developing and implementing disaster recovery exercises, guaranteeing operational stability and business continuity.
- Maintaining vigilant monitoring of authentication platforms for vulnerabilities, leading remediation efforts to ensure robust security postures.
- Collaborating with domain owners to consolidate and implement security baselines, promoting organizational resilience and compliance.
- Fostering strong relationships with global cross-functional teams to ensure environment stability, scalability, and security, driving consistency and efficiency.
- Implementing security baselines and recommended best practices, embedding security into the fabric of the organization.
- Conducting regular system health checks, proactively identifying and resolving issues to prevent downtime and minimize disruptions.
To excel in this challenging role, you will need:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Senior Active Directory/Entra ID Engineer or similar role, coupled with advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, and Active Directory Federation Services.
- A strong understanding of Microsoft Azure, IAM permissions on Management Groups, subscriptions, and resources, and familiarity with directory synchronization tools such as Azure Active Directory/Entra ID Connect and Okta Active Directory integration.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting, automation, and API utilization, including Microsoft Graph, and a solid grasp of Single-Sign-On and authentication protocols like SAML & OIDC.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to work well under pressure and thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for effective working relationships with cross-functional teams.
Mckesson offers a competitive compensation package that includes an estimated annual salary range of $116,700 - $194,500, commensurate with performance, experience, and qualifications.
