Job Title: Head of Operational Resilience

Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Operational Resilience Program in the Americas region. As a key member of the Corporate Strategy & Administration Division, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive Operational Resilience Program that aligns with international standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Operational Resilience Program across the Americas region.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the program is aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and deliver a comprehensive Operational Resilience Program framework that includes identifying and prioritizing critical business services, setting impact tolerances, mapping interconnections and interdependences, and performing scenario analysis and testing.
  • Develop and maintain related policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure the program delivers on its mandate, executes effectively, operates commercially, drives change, creates efficiencies, and achieves desired outcomes consistent with business objectives and regulatory expectations.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of financial services industry and/or management consulting experience.
  • 10+ years of operational resilience/business continuity/disaster recovery experience.
  • 3+ years of resolution planning engagement and support experience desired.
  • A strong leader with the ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize objectives, and drive significant change in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • A track record of hands-on design and implementation of operational resilience programs at other financial institutions involving progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
