Key Responsibilities
* Provide individualized care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including post-operative care and management of chronic illnesses.
* Monitor and assess patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, documenting findings accurately and promptly.
* Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring proper dosages and adherence to protocols.
* Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for each patient.
* Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care, ensuring understanding and compliance.
Requirements
* Strong understanding of medical-surgical nursing practices, including patient care, medication administration, and emergency response.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
* Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital information systems for accurate documentation and data management.
* Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring patients, moving medical equipment, and standing for long periods.
* Active [STATE] Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Med Surg Nurse or in a similar role. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Experience with EPIC or similar charting systems.
