Automotive Technician

As an ASE Certified Mechanic at Wilks Tire & Battery Service, you will be responsible for performing essential tasks related to vehicle repair and maintenance. You will utilize your mechanical aptitude to diagnose technical issues while delivering outstanding service to our customers. Your experience in automotive repair, including brakes, alignments, and preventative maintenance, will be valuable assets in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform automotive technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, and problem-solving.
- Conduct brake repairs, front end suspension, shocks/struts, preventative maintenance, wheel alignments, and tire installation.
- Create a great customer experience by providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles, documenting all work performed on the work order.
- Promote teamwork to deliver timely and accurate guest care during all operating hours.
- Perform manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.
- Report any safety issues immediately to management.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of automotive experience, including brake repairs, front end work, and preventative maintenance.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Have your own tools.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- ASE Certification.
- Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests.
- Previous front end and/or brake experience.
