Salary:

The hourly rate for this position will be dependent on your experience and education. As a ProCare employee, you will be paid on a weekly basis through direct deposit.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a Self-Contained/Life Skills Classroom in our elementary school. You will create a supportive and engaging environment for young students with diverse learning needs, focusing on fostering independence, social skills, and practical life abilities.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while coordinating with internal departments
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to achieve student success
  • Foster independence, social skills, and practical life abilities in students with significant needs
  • Work with 2 Paraprofessionals in the classroom for support

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or higher
  • A Virginia Teaching License or eligibility
  • Certification to work with high school grade levels in the state of Virginia
  • Experience working with students with multiple disabilities
  • Comfortable with toileting/feeding assistance

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and education
