Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and certified Toddler Montessori Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, planning and implementing age-appropriate Montessori curriculum, and supporting the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of each child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development and Implementation
    • Create and implement a comprehensive Montessori curriculum tailored to the needs of toddlers aged 15 months to 3 years.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and equipped classroom environment that promotes independence, exploration, and hands-on learning.
    • Develop and update lesson plans that cater to individual children's interests and developmental progress.
  • Child Development
    • Observe and assess each child's developmental milestones, interests, and needs.
    • Provide individualized support and guidance to help children achieve their full potential.
    • Foster social interactions and conflict resolution among children in a respectful and positive manner.
  • Classroom Management
    • Establish and maintain a calm, orderly, and respectful classroom atmosphere.
    • Implement consistent routines and clear expectations for behavior.
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
  • Parent Communication and Engagement
    • Communicate regularly with parents through conferences, reports, and informal meetings.
    • Share observations and progress reports with parents, providing guidance on how to support their child's development at home.
    • Organize and participate in parent education workshops and events.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay current with Montessori philosophy, techniques, and educational best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
    • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with assistant teachers and other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
    • Mentor and support assistant teachers and interns in the Montessori method and classroom practices.
Qualifications
  • Education and Certification
    • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
    • Montessori certification (AMS, AMI, or MACTE accredited) specific to the toddler age group.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with toddlers in a Montessori setting.
  • Skills and Attributes
    • Deep understanding of Montessori principles and practices.
    • Strong observational and assessment skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
