About the RoleThis position involves providing intensive case management, assertive engagement, and crisis intervention to a caseload of adult males. Your primary objective is to help them reduce their involvement in the criminal justice system and incarceration.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized success plans based on culturally specific and evidence-based practices to help participants achieve their goals.
- Facilitate the Black Male Success HEAT curriculum to clients, focusing on developing skills, accessing resources, building relationships, and overcoming barriers.
- Collaborate with professionals from various fields, including schools, community organizations, mental health services, child welfare agencies, and law enforcement.
- Provide day-to-day support through social casework, intake, assessment, assertive engagement, and skill development, engaging youth and families in activities such as education, employment, home maintenance, health promotion, pro-social activities, spirituality, and community involvement.
- Participate in and coordinate pro-social activities for adults and their families.
- Maintain accurate documentation, adhering to CHI Program policies and procedures.
- Respond promptly to crises and risk incidents within established timeframes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience working with criminal justice-impacted youth.
- Three years of related experience, preferably with gangs.
