Revenue Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Accountant to join our team at Richmark Mineral Resources Inc. in Greely, CO. This individual will be responsible for managing and overseeing revenue accounting processes for non-operated assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oil and gas accounting, possess excellent analytical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare reports summarizing and forecasting company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings.
- Assist with budget preparation, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification.
- Provide timely reviews of the organization's financial status and progress in various programs and activities.
- Continuously improve accounting practices and financial controls, processes, and procedures.
- Assist with audit oversight of company accounts.
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Advise management on insurance coverage for property losses and potential liabilities.
- Oversee account and inventory management and reconciliation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, accounting, or finance is required.
- A minimum of 8+ years of accounting and finance experience is required.
- Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Strong familiarity with full-cycle accounting and US GAAP.
- Self-motivated, with a love of complex problem solving, and a results-oriented approach to a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Experience delivering financial results and insights to C-suite, investors, and employees.
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally to create processes and deliver financial information.
- Strong proficiency in a wide variety of software and tools, including payroll systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, with expert level Excel skills.
- Working familiarity with tax and compliance requirements, deadlines, and reporting.
