Fatherhood Coach Job DescriptionThe Northeast Florida Healthy Start Coalition is seeking a skilled and compassionate Fatherhood Coach to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting fathers and father figures in our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide education, support, and resources to fathers and father figures to reduce infant deaths and improve health outcomes for families.
- Enroll fathers into our program, provide case management services, and facilitate fatherhood curricula in the homes and community.
- Collect evaluation data and collaborate with our Healthy Start program to recruit, engage, and retain fathers.
- Coordinate home visits, workshop schedules, instructional materials, and supplies.
- Ensure fathers complete the intake process and provide holistic and comprehensive services, including intake assessments, benefit assessments, goal setting, advocacy, and referrals.
- Regularly engage fathers in the program, monitor progress, and document all encounters.
- Connect fathers with needed community resources and follow up with fathers and agencies as appropriate.
- Provide all required documentation in a timely manner, including father follow-up outcome evaluations, client contact sheets, and evaluations.
- Bachelor's Degree in social services or a related field or equivalent work experience in the field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while providing exemplary customer service.
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and child support court systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with Coalition partner agency staff and the general public.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Must be able to travel to alternate locations and have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, good driving record, and automobile insurance.
