Emergency Department Nurse

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of current experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room.
Responsibilities:
- Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients.
- Document observations, assessments, and changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate positive patient care outcomes.
- Assess and care for patients with a wide range of physical and psychological diagnoses.
- Insert and maintain peripheral lines, and maintain central lines for administration of intravenous fluid.
- Complete and accurate documentation of care, on time, according to facility/unit policies.
- Phlebotomy and bedside testing.
- On-call status may be required at the discretion of the Nurse Manager.
- Insertion and troubleshooting of Urinary catheters.
- Initiate patient education, as prescribed by the physician during discharge.
- Display and promote professionalism and excellent customer service during interactions with patients and their families/caregivers.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 3 years current experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room with no more than a six-month gap working in that setting.
- Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency.
- Must have an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States).
- Preferred to have the Certification of Emergency Nursing (CEN) through the Board of Certifications for Emergency Nurses (BCEN).
